Soo.... have you seen the recipe on TikTok, Instagram and or Facebook with Dates, PeanutButter and Chocolate... Well, I'm here to tell you it is really good!!! I made it this weekend. It is super rich but it's a healthier version of a sweet treat... It's called Date Bark or Date, PeanutButter Bark *lol* There are several recipes out there but here's the one I used.
Date Bark
12 Dates - pitted and halved (we used pitted ones)
1/4 Cup Natural PeanutButter (I use Skippy, Creamy Natural PeanutButter) - melted in the microwave apx 30 seconds
1/4 Cup Dark Chocolate Chips - I use Lilly's
1 -2 tsp of Coconut Oil
Chopped Pecans - use nuts of choice
On a piece of parchment paper- lay out your dates- put another piece of parchment over the top and roll over - smashing with a rolling pin. Remove the top layer of parchment paper. Melt your PeanutButter and pour and spread across the top of the dates evenly. Spread nuts of choice over the Peanut Butter - Take dark chocolate chips and add coconut oil - melt in microwave in 30 second intervals- stirring in between. Pour over the Nuts & PeanutButter- Spreading evenly. You can sprinkle seasalt over the top of the chocolate.
Put in freezer for several hours allowing it harden. Cut and enjoy!!!
